School Council

A School Council is a representative group of pupils who have been proposed and elected by their peers to represent their views and raise issues with the Senior Managers and Governors of their school. Every year our children elect a new team to the school council. They spend time meeting each week to discuss any issues raised by the pupils and raise money for new school resources.

In the past, school council have contributed to the work of the school including helping to write our Anti-Bullying policy and how the school can help others. This year, school council are focusing on how we can improve our impact on the environment. They attended a Trust conference where they worked with other children to design environmentally friendly strategies. They have chosen to focus on improving the amount of waste we recycle as a school. We hope to bring you some photos of their work soon.
